Once a message has arrived on your number, the activation counts as used and is not refunded, even if the code does not work for you. Read the refund rules
Only what is needed
- SMS messages and codes are deleted automatically 30 days after they arrive.
- Passwords are stored only as Argon2 hashes, never in readable form.
- No cookies, ads, analytics or third-party trackers, on the SmsGrab server or on this website.
- Delete your account at any time in the app, under Settings > Account > Delete account.

What is SmsGrab?
SmsGrab is an Android app that rents temporary virtual phone numbers, so you can receive SMS verification codes without giving out your own number.
How much does a number cost?
It depends on the service and the country. The exact price is shown in the app before you buy, and it is paid from your in-app balance. Prices are set in US dollars; amounts in other currencies are approximate conversions.
What happens if no code arrives?
If no message arrives before the number expires, the full price goes back to your balance automatically. You can also cancel before any message arrives and get the price back.
Can I use the same number again later?
A one-time activation is for a single service and lasts 20 minutes by default. After that, numbers are usually given to other people, so do not use a temporary number for accounts you may need to recover later, such as banking, government services or your main email account.
Will every service accept the number?
Not always. Whether a code arrives depends on the service, the country and the provider, and some services block virtual numbers. That is why a number that receives no message is refunded automatically.
Do I need to create an account?
No, you can start as a guest. A guest account lives only on the device that created it, so use an email account if you want to sign in on another phone later.
When can I download SmsGrab?
SmsGrab is coming soon to Google Play. It is not in the store yet, so please do not install copies from other sources.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, go to Settings > Account > Delete account. Deletion takes effect immediately. If you cannot use the app, write to support@smsgrab.com from the email address of your account.
